About City Connectivity


The city of Allahabad is well connected to other major cities in near by viz. Lucknow, Varanasi, Kanpur, Sultanpur, Mirzapur, Fatehpur etc. by road and rail. Connectivity of city with metros are via air, rail. Being center of North Central Zone most of the rail routes are touching Allahabad for Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkatta. NH 7 and NH 11 are crossing the city and road and rail bridges over rival Ganga and river Yamuna are newly built to accommodate the heavy vehicles and traffic round the clock. Construction of four lane road under Swarnim Chaturbhuj Yojna is in progress and the latest announcement of govt. of Uttar Pradesh the Ganga Express Way is also touching the city along side the river Ganga.
