DPDP Compliance

The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP) is India’s landmark legislation governing the processing of digital personal data. This page explains how the Allahabad Development Authority (ADA) complies with your rights under the DPDP.

Scope and Applicability

The DPDP applies to the processing of digital personal data within India. While the ADA website does not require user registration or collect personal data through forms, it may automatically process limited digital data such as IP addresses, browser types, and usage patterns via analytics tools and server logs. This processing is limited to improving website functionality and user experience.

Your Rights Under DPDP

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, you have the following rights:

  • Right to access your digital personal data processed by us
  • Right to correction or completion of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Right to withdrawal of consent, where applicable
  • Right to grievance redressal if you believe your data rights have been violated
  • Right to nominate a person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity

How We Comply

ADA does not store personal data in databases, maintain user accounts, or collect identifiable information beyond what is automatically and transiently logged by web servers. We use third-party analytics tools only with privacy-preserving configurations. We do not share data with advertisers or third parties for profiling or targeted advertising. All data processing is minimal, purpose-limited, and compliant with the DPDP’s principles of lawful processing and data minimization.

Data We Process

Under the DPDP, the only digital personal data we may process includes:

  • IP addresses (anonymized where possible)
  • Device type and browser information
  • Pages visited and time spent on site
  • Geolocation data at country level only (for traffic analysis)

This data is not linked to any individual’s name, phone number, email, or other identifiers.

Legal Basis for Processing

Our processing of digital data is based on legitimate interest under Section 5(2) of the DPDP, to ensure the website functions properly, improves user experience, and complies with statutory obligations related to public service transparency. No consent is required for this limited processing, as it is not used for profiling, targeted advertising, or decision-making.

How to Exercise Your Rights

If you wish to exercise your rights under the DPDP, please contact us via email at [email protected]. In your message, please include:

  1. Your full name
  2. A description of the data you wish to access, correct, or withdraw
  3. Any supporting information to help us identify your data

We will respond to your request without undue delay.

Response Timeframes

Under the DPDP, we are required to respond to your request within 30 days of receipt. If additional time is needed, we will notify you within the initial 30-day period with a reason for the delay.

No Discrimination Policy

ADA will not deny services, charge different prices, or provide a lower quality of service to you because you exercised your rights under the DPDP.

Updates and Changes

We will update this compliance page whenever there are material changes to our data practices or applicable law. The latest version will always be posted here with an updated effective date.
